Natural Decisions welcomes Michelle Dickson to the team

Natural Decisions is delighted to welcome Michelle Dickson to our team.

With a background in waterway health and catchment management, she is highly regarded by her peers in this sector.

Michelle worked in various roles at West Gippsland CMA from 2004 – 2014, most recently as Water Team Leader. In this role she was responsible for leading the waterway health and environmental water programs with an emphasis on strategic planning, project delivery and monitoring and reporting. Michelle developed the successful ‘Corner Inlet Connections’ partnership program, was a lead author for the Corner Inlet Water Quality Improvement Plan, the West Gippsland Wetlands Plan and currently with the development of the West Gippsland Waterway Strategy.

Michelle has extensive experience in natural resource management program design and delivery, she focuses on practical solutions and has aptitude for linking site scale issues, with science-based planning to inform on-ground management. She has a strong interest in understanding the social drivers of participation in natural resource management and enjoys working collaboratively with other organisations to develop solutions. Michelle gained a B. App. Science (Environmental Management) from Deakin University in 2003 and a Graduate Certificate in River Health from Melbourne University in 2006.  Michelle is based in South Gippsland, where she and husband Danial run a small farm, breeding Wiltshire Horn sheep and growing and selling seasonal kitchen garden produce.
